Fire Station Satteins

Hollagaß 2, 6822 Satteins, A

Fire Station Feldkirch Altenstadt

Bissingerstrasse, 6800 Feldkirch, A
Architect: Fink Thurnher (1998-2000) Building contractor: Stadtgemeinde Feldkirch

The block-like fire station with the hose tower gets three-dimensional depth by the slant of the deep gates. A light ditch provides the crew’s quarters with natural light. The angular arrangement of the parking spaces in the garage allows easy entry and exit.

Fire Station Wolfurt

Weberstraße, 6922 Wolfurt, A
Architect: HEIN-TROY Architekten (2008-2009) Building contractor: GIG Wolfurt

The lofty tower with a steel staircase contrasts the compact low-rise building. The development areas are minimised by an ingenious arrangement of the various functional areas. It took some effort to adapt the in-situ concrete structure to passive energy standards.
