Der "Jöslar" im Ortskern von Andelsbuch ist eine Bregenzerwälder Wirtshauslegende. Nach dem Ableben des langjährigen Wirten wurde das Lokal neu verpachtet. Nicht nur der Name wurde vom neuen Betreiber beibehalten: Das Gebäude wurde für zeitgemäße Anforderungen adaptiert und saniert ohne die bestehenden Qualitäten aufzugeben.

Das gesamte Areal "Am Kaiserstrand" – lange als Bundesheerkaserne genutzt – steht unter Denkmalschutz. Das Gebäude mit dem markanten Treppengiebel (1910) fand zur ursprünglichen Nutzung zurück und dient heute wieder als Hotel. Teile der Kasernenanlagen aus der NS-Zeit wurden abgebrochen, der Rest wurde saniert und umgenutzt und durch zwei "Residenzen" als Neubauten flankiert. Das hölzerne Badehaus am See komplettiert das Ensemble und dient als Sonnenterrasse und Strandcafé.

Die seit den 1970er Jahren an gleicher Stelle bestehende Grillstube wurde vom Hochwasser im Sommer 2005 schwer beschädigt und musste in Folge abgebrochen werden. Über der neuen Hochwasserverbauung aus groben Bruchsteinen entstand ein ruhiger Baukörper mit filigraner Täfelung. Ein zehn Meter langes Sitzfenster bietet Aussicht auf Dorf und Flusslandschaft.
