The new buildings with their clear design and reduced materiality are a contrast to the existing buildings. A cross is incised into the front wall of the chapel made of exposed concrete. An urn wall was built parallel to the old cemetery wall. Other features of the cemetery are a well, the walk-through chapel and finally a communal grave.

A new inner-city district was created with the redesign of the centre of Dornbirn around the City Hall and the residential and office buildings of the former Ulm-area. This high-density district responds with individual cubes to the villas of the neighborhood, the cemetery and the Mohren-Brewery. The high-rise will be rebuilt and extended by seven condominiums.

Die seit den 1970er Jahren an gleicher Stelle bestehende Grillstube wurde vom Hochwasser im Sommer 2005 schwer beschädigt und musste in Folge abgebrochen werden. Über der neuen Hochwasserverbauung aus groben Bruchsteinen entstand ein ruhiger Baukörper mit filigraner Täfelung. Ein zehn Meter langes Sitzfenster bietet Aussicht auf Dorf und Flusslandschaft.

Red fair-faced concrete and galvanized steel profiles give the fire station a rather robust than bulky appearance. The first stage of the expansion and transformation of the construction that had been built in 1979 was conducted in 1992 and it was finally finished in 2006. The two huge rod-shaped building elements divide the complex into a studio and workshop stage, a large hall and a stage at the lakeside. The generous urban square in front conveys international flair not only at times of festivals.
